1.4 MPI petrol crankshaft pulley bolt torque setting

Featured Replies

Hi

I have a Mk1 Roomster 1.4 petrol.

I am looking at taking the crankshaft pulley bolt off this weekend

Can anyone tell me what the correct torque procedure should be for refitting the new bolt? i.e. the amount of force and angles etc.

I have a new bolt with recessed head part number SN91048701 from the Skoda dealer (the S is because the part has been superceded the guy at the dealership told me - but he got the bolt from a third party wholesaler)

thanks for any help

No answer here so I just went ahead and used an electric impact for the crankshaft bolt. There is not much chance of doing anything else when you are on your back on the drive. No space for the torque wrench.

Gentlemen I give you Clarke CEW1000, slayer of cranshaft pulley bolts. It took the crank pulley bolt off in three seconds.

Timing belts and water pump, done.
