Kamiq automatic gearbox problems at Hendy Skoda Bournemouth

Afraid not. I've submitted my case to The Motor Ombudsmen so I'm awaiting their review.

Hendy Skodas final response was there is nothing wrong with the vehicle therefore we can't reject it. The issue is driver error and caised by my grandad turning the car off in neutral.

My stance was fault code b116229 appears to relate to an implausible signal from the micro switch in the gear selector. My neighbour who is a tech at vw advised this, if you Google b116229 it also confirms this and the report I obtained from an independent garage also stated if they had diagnosed a code b116229 they too would have looked to investigate a faulty micro switch in the gear selector, as is common on the VAG range.

So fingers crossed TMO side with me and my research in that in generating this fault code, the car did indeed suffer a fault and it is nothing to do with driver error.

Usual review times are up to 8 weeks so I might not hear anything till mid/end of October :( I'll be sure to post an update
