Estate Upper Rear Seat release, trim lifted.

Featured Replies

Hi.

Noticed today  that the raised warning tag on passenger seat back was showing, on closer inspection I found the surrounding plastic trim had pulled away from the seat. Tried to put it back but seems  stuck. The mechanism  still functions as does the release from the load space.

Any suggestions as to how to fix it, seems a bit OTT to have to book it in the dealers.

Firm whack with a mallet? How old is it? If it’s still in warranty, just get it looked at next time you’re passing or are in for service.

A Mallet might bust it, but gentle persuasion made no impression. Its a 2015 model but I do have a Skoda all component warranty, no idea if this would be covered though, I will send the photo to my dealer and ask if it is covered or if they have a Skoda Mallet!
