Morning all, 

 

Looking at getting some roof bars/box for my Skoda Superb 2016 estate. 

 

I don't want to spend a fortune, as it won't be used that often, however having a little one and a big dog, means packing for staycations is difficult. 

 

Any ideas/recommendations welcome.

I bought Thule aero bars and a fapa roof box  about 15 years ago for a Kia sorrento. These have been used on all successive cars since. 

Cheap Lidl universal bars and a 170 Exodus roof box. Biggest they do. It’s vast and is quite happy on an autobahn at ‘some speed’

Bought Thule Wing bars with Thule Alpine Touring roof box 2 years and half ago. Expensive but easy to install, to tune and well designed. Would buy the same if I had to buy it today.

I'm still using some square profile Halfords bars I bought years ago for my then Audi A6 Avant which had aluminium rails similar to the Superb estate. They fitted my last S2 Superb estate & 🤞 still fit my current S3 2016 Superb estate (haven't needed to fit them to latest car yet but a dry fit a few weeks ago looked OK). I have a narrower Thule ski roof box which allows me to get a couple of bikes (top/tail) on the roof as well.
