Driving slight uphill 100km/h - ACC loosing speed

Featured Replies

Hey, I was driving through Austria last weekend and noticed that my car can't decide what gear to chose while driving slight uphill. I was croosing on Austrian motorway at speed limit 100km/h and it was dropping speed to 93, changing the gear from 7th to 6th and once reached 100km/h, it switched back to 7th...

Has anyone else noticed something similar?

I have MY2020 4x4 190PS TDI...

R u driving in Comfort mode?

I've done plenty of motorway driving at 110km/h and the ACC is fine at maintaining speed, even when the road gets hilly.

But I've noticed in Comfort mode, it will take its sweet time to realise its lost momentum at the start of the hill, before finally reaching the set speed again.

No such issues in Normal or Individual modes.

Mine is a 220 with the DSG-6.

I was driving it in all the modes... when I noticed the speed drop, I have tried to switch from economy to normal and later to sport mode... no difference...

Changing the drive modes changes the ACC reaction times.

If ur seeing no difference in ur ACC reaction times, then I'd say something is up.

In Comfort mode, ACC is lazy. It's too cautious, takes its time.

In Normal mode, it's normal.

In Sport mode, it's quicker, n doesn't waste time.

In Individual mode, u can choose the setting.

I will put the car on tester in a week or so, when I have the time to visit the service centre. Thanks all
