Forge DV & the little vacuum hose

Featured Replies

Having fitted a new Forge 007 dump valve a couple of weeks ago a have noticed that the little vacuum hose going into the top of the valve is touching the engine cover and is starting to deteriorate. I have tried to push the hose on as far as possible and have also secured it with a jubilee clip.

Has anyone else experienced this problem and come up with any solutions?

I have left the engine cover off for now and although I'm not one for staring at my engine all day long, I think it looks much better with it on, (don't really want to cut off any of the engine cover though if I can avoid it!).

Cheers

Does your DV have a right angled connector on top...if not get one from Forge...perhaps FOC....and it should solve the problem.

No it hasn't, but I bought the dump valve from Forge and specified which car I had, should they have sent me the one with the right angled connector?

i got my Bailey from Jabba and when i said i had an octavia RS they said "you'll need a right angled connector for the hose then" and sent me one with the valve.

go back to Forge and make them aware of the problem... i know of at least 2 other people that have had the same thing on their RS'
