Race Blue Not a vRS

Featured Replies

Was race blue ever offered as a factory colour on a non-vRS mk2?

I know it is on the mk3, but I didn't think that it was on the mk2.

Browsing as you do, this ex taxi caught my eye on Gumtree.

I can't say I've ever seen any other mk2 in race blue that isn't a vRS.

It was offered,

At least in Greece there was an option.

Feels like a let down to the race blue vRS owners lol.

I do like the colour being available on the mk3 though to the non vRS models.

In 2011 (the year I have a brochure for), in the UK at least, Race Blue metallic was limited to the vRS. However, there was a Storm Blue metallic available on other models. In the brochure it appears to be a shade darker than Race Blue.
