ABS / ESP Warning Lights

Car's been sitting idle for the guts of 3 months due to covid. It has had a good motorway run on occasion but nothing like it probably should.

Jumped in yesterday and got an ESP fault warning on the dash. Plus, the parking sensors won't work and just produce a constant beep for a few seconds while the visual parking display (the aerial view of the car showing the proximity of objects) isn't displaying.

053273 - Manufacturer Specific Code (Engine) - if memory serves me this one I think is related to an oil temperature sensor but has been on it over a year without issue and might not be related to the two below which are new.

01316 - ABS Control Module (Parking/Steering Assist)

01435 - Brake Pressure Sensor (ABS)

A search on the forum here flagged possible battery issue. It was taken for a 200km motorway run thinking the battery would get a solid charge, but parking sensor issue and warning lights continue.

Other posts suggested issues with fuses. I checked the fuses in the box beside the battery and all seem OK. However, I cannot figure out how to check the strip fuses connecting into the fuse box - there is a black plastic strip (see Pic 1) running across the strips and it won't budge / I'm concerned I'll snap something not meant to snap. Is there a way to pry off that black plastic strip to check the strip fuses?

Also, the fuse in position 2 on the right side of the steering wheel (it's and Irish RHD) marked as being ABS/ESP is OK, but there was no fuse in position 20 that is also marked ABS/ESP (see Pic 2). I'm guessing there never was a fuse there - no fuse was in the foot well to indicate a fuse somehow popped out (can that even happen?).

I also came across posts suggesting to check the wiring along the steering rack. I have no idea how to check this, is it a case of a torch inside the cabin at the driver foot well job?

Any other suggests would be mightily appreciated.

EDIT: Just scrolling through and saw this post from 2 weeks ago (didn't show in search results). Possibly the same issue?

Adding in that I found a similar recent post.

I've recently had this problem with my 2.0 CR Elegance. It turned out to be the O/S rear ABS sensor - the thin metal cover at the back of the brake disc had rusted and become detached. In the process it damaged the ABS sensor. All sorted now - no warning lights.

Skoda never printed an insert card for the internal fuse panel for RHD cars, which have a layout that's a mirror image of that in LHD cars, so you have to factor that in when checking fuses.

As for your current issue, you have a diagnostic fault code for a sensor in the ABS. Assuming it's not an old code, I'd start there. Fix the problem you know you have first.
