ESP/ABS Fault

Featured Replies

Just had the above warning "ping" on the MFD. Also the parking sensors have stopped working properly. Would these faults be due to a faulty ABS sensor? Any advice gratefully received.

I wonder if it's the steering angle sensor? A diagnostic scan would help at this point.

Thanks. It's booked in on the 10th so hopefully all will become clearer then.

Sounds like a steering angle sensor but similar happens with the ABS/Wheel speed sensors. Either way, doing the scan is the right way to sort it and you'll get the answer pretty quickly.

All now sorted! It was the O/S rear ABS sensor. The brake backplate had rusted and become detached, dislodging the sensor.  Backplate, wheelbearing/snesor now replaced and all is good.
