Cost/hours to fit lowering springs

Featured Replies

I popped to a garage today to see about fitting my lowering springs and put spacers on.

They've quoted me £200 with wheel alignment which seems high as I've heard it's 2hours work?

Is the wheel alignment with a Hunter system? If so then £200 for the full lot seems fair.

The front springs are a fairly labour intensive job, 2 hours would be very optimistic even with two people working on it. I think I paid 600AUD at a dealer (but got thoroughly ripped off though)

The average price for wheel alignment is anywhere from £50 upto and beyond £85, depending on how many adjustments there are and what type of machine they use. Hunter is the better one.

£200 is cheap so I would get that in writing.

They may only charge £35 / £40 per hour so may have factored in 3hrs work. Whereas most stealers charge double that in most places.
