SOS inactive contact workshop. Plus reboots

Featured Replies

My 2018 kodiaq 2.0 SL Columbus has just started coming up with “SOS inactive contact workshop” in the driver display between the Speedometer and Rev counters.

When it happens the Columbus system reboots. Everything works fine again. Then the whole cycle starts repeating at random intervals.

Its booked in with dealer next Thursday.

Is anyone else experiencing  this?

Took car in to dealer yesterday and he’s updated the software for about ten modules according to the work report. I think a lot where not anything to do with the problem, but a case of let’s bring everything up to the latest revision. Columbus seems faster than before and so far is behaving. Fingers crossed.

This usually happens when the OCU module fails. Most of the time the module needs replacing/coding and you are good to go again.
