Featured Replies

MY2007 Octavia 2.0tdi Scout BMM engine, misfiring on one pot.  Has had (some time ago) a BlueFin remap to 180bhp.

Scan shows no errors except for the one below - which I can't decipher 😞

It could be a faulty instrument cluster or the data bus wiring from the cluster to the ECM. First thing to check is the fuses and the wiring. But I doubt this has anything to do with the misfire.

Seems very unlikely to me that there is any link between that fault code and a misfire on a single cylinder.

Have you bought VCDS now Mike?

My Mk2 which incidentally went to a very appreciative new owner yesterday, always had an error from the instrument cluster controller saying it was faulty, cant recall the text & all the scans went to the new owner, definitely something terminal sounding rather than "incorrect coding" yet everything always functioned on it as it should, I have read somewhere about firmware conflicts and a reflash or something being needed to remove the error message but I think in general it was simply recommended to ignore it and live with it.

I have just edited my previous post. Thank you to Wino. I realise the original post may of been misleading.

Regarding the misfire are able to post up any live data ?  Injector flow readings etc.

It may be worth getting a compression test done aswell.
