As the title says, my fuel flap occaisionally is found open, usually after you have just got out (ie was closed before you opened the door) . The release solenoid isnt heard,nor is any other release type noises. I have noticed that the fuel flap release button in the door is very sensitive to upward pressure in the the solenoid is activated very early in the movement of the release switch.

Any takers with some advise?

If you'd got the 2.8 V6 then I would have said that it was one of the Superbs many features. If you've stopped and opened the door the car just assumes that you're going to put more fuel in.

Yes...well.......................Thankfully mine is diesel, and only needs a tankful every 4-6 weeks, which is just as well as it take 72 litres a go.
