I am new in here.

I own a Skoda Octavia SEL 17 plate facelift. Last spring I realised that my demister doesn't work on the top 3 lines, where is the brake light. When its snow or frozen you can't see the brake light , because it doesn't melt. Apart from that everything works fine. My concern is that this is a factory fault or they are actually not working on every car(same model) and they are there just for design? From what I have seen , they are not connected.  Anyone with the same problem? Thank you.

I seem to recall that the top three ‘elements’ are not part of the rear window demister. They’re radio antenna.
