1.6 Greenline Oil Warning light and beeping

Featured Replies

Regularly serviced with correct oil and filters now with 70,000km on the clock the oil warning light and three beeps has started to come on ocassional when out for a run here in the mountains of Cyprus. For some reason I've never experienced this fault down in the city. Always check my oil level which is where it should be.

Any ideas? Could this be a sensor on it's way out and does this engine have one or two?

Any thoughts as to what is causing this appreciated.

What is the oil temperature showing on the MFD when this happens?

Hi Urrell,

I will check the next time this happens.

Thanks.

Could it be the oil pump not picking up oil on steep slopes, I had a Mini that needed an extra pint of oil over full level

on fast hilly runs:D

I can only see one pressure switch listed here: https://skoda.7zap.com/en/cz/yeti/yet/2014-779/9/919-919041/ item 8

What colour is the warning light, red or yellow? (Low pressure or low level)

Smell your engine oil to try to detect contamination/dilution with diesel. Be especially suspicious if the level appears to increase instead of decrease with time.
