Mk2 Superb aftermarket stereo options

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm soon to be gifted my parent's 2011 Surperb 4x4 salon. It's great, but the stereo sounds awful, any idea on my options guys?

I'm quite flexible to either just fitting a good head unit and running it through the standard speakers, or even getting a 4 channel amp and wiring up new door speakers etc. I'm not concerned about preserving the Sat Nav, which is obsolete TBH. I also presume the poor sound is mostly caused by the head unit and not the speakers?

Thanks!!!

I can highly recommend the Kenwood dnx521dab headunit that I currently have in my 2010 superb. Coincidentally it’s coming out of the car on Monday when I upgrade to a mk3 so it’ll be going on eBay if you’re interested!

parts will include:

head unit

canbus module

conversion loom (plug and play)

FM Ariel booster/converter

ipod classic lead

skoda superb mk2 oem fascia

sat nav receiver and metal backplate

hands free microphone.

literally everything you could need apart from a dab antenna (as mine is windscreen mounted so it’s staying put!).

the whole lot will be going on eBay Monday and I’ll be undercutting the other units on there (that are just head units too without all the bits needed) by a good chunk to get it gone.

picture of it installed below:

the top image the fascia wasn’t fully pressed in place, it fits perfectly to the dash and looks totally oem.

it has full pre outs for amps if required and is 50w x 4, plenty enough to improve the standard speakers.

i ran a 500w amp with a 12” sub with it and it sounded great!

Ok, that's interesting, do you have any idea how much you're going to ask for it?

I’ve sent you a pm so I hopefully don’t break any forum rules but let me know if you have a problem or any questions!
