Hi, I'm new to the site so hope I've posted this in the correct place. I am awaiting delivery of a new Kamiq 1.5 DSG SEL and have been contacted by the salesman to ask wether I wish the protection pack containingfloor mats and mud flaps at an additional cost of £200. From what I can see these additions only cost £125 when ordered separately however I think he may have neglected to mention that door edge protectors are included. 

Can anyone tell me if the door edge protectors are standard on the sel model and advise wether or not they think the protection pack is worth buying....thanks

 

Mats are standard, the fip out door protectors are not.

I would insist mud flaps fitted f.o.c.

But if you are signed up then perhaps to late.

Thanks for the reply I noticed somewhere else mats are standard, however that didn't stop salesman emailing me asking if I wanted protection pack for £200. I think it's another case of a salesman not being fully conversant with his product.

Incidentally fergiet the car I'm waiting on is also a 1.5 DSG in race blue. I ordered it through the dealer after/as it was built and therefore didn't have much choice of colour or spec. I'm interested to hear how u like the race blue in the flesh and what u think of the 1.5 engine (I'm changing from a 1.0 TSi manual Karoq)

Re the £200 Protection pack.

The Salesperson knows exactly what they need to get buyers to purchase as extras to be earning commission.  They do the job 6 days a week.

Colour is great in the flesh 👍

Cheers for photo, it's a lot clearer than some I have seen online and looks great for a rangers supporter like me😀

Yeah prob correct just my previous experience of buying cars and knowing far more about the product than the sales man

Ha ha, also bought mine pre-built so choose of options limited to what was on it. Came with heated seats and reversing camera. Heated sets I wanted  anyway and camera is handy.

The Race Blue is one of my favourite colours. Only issue was the time it took to get here because of Covid19. Sat at the German Port for ages
