Hi Guys,

We are currently  in Spain and just jumped into the Kodiaq to do a bit of shopping,  put a/c on auto and got a strange gurgling noise from the rear speakers only. Nothing else switched on. Took it to local Skoda dealer and have an appointment for next Wednesday, he couldn't understand it either.

 

Typical, on driving away the noise disappeared. Any thoughts.

 

 

Sounds like you’ve got the voice enchantment turned on, turn it off or turn down and weird noises from speakers will disappear.

Having seen the exact same problem on here before, and having heard it myself, with the vents blowing air across the mic in the roof causing strange gurgling, whooshing noises from rear speakers, so if it’s not that, as they say on Dragons Den, I’m out.

Did you have the air con on when you left the dealer ? Maybe there's a clue there somewhere.

This voice enhancement is weird... have it switched on in my car... never any weird echoes or noises (& I know it works as have had people in the back mention it).  Had a MY20 Sportline TSI as a loan car when having my windscreen replaced... just me in the car... echoes & scratches & gurgles... turned voice enhancement off... no more problems.  Wonder if they have made changes to the mic or the sensitivity?

 

& on another note... the defaulting of drive mode (on the newer car) back to normal is a bit annoying.

We actually used the second key, which we haven't used in a while and although we thought the voice enhancement was off, which it is with the other key, it wasn't with the second key.

 

Lesson learnt. 

Good you fixed it. For a minute there I was thinking it was the sound of the various bits of Skoda washing their hands of problem ownership that I’m currently experiencing 😊

The menu to switch the voice enhancement on or off in mine has vanished . I am sure it was under sound, volume, sound enhancement. I turned it off a while back but wanted to use it and vanished any ideas
