I’ve got a 2014 Vrs and wanted to know if it’s possible or easy to take out my audio/touch screen and replace it with an up dated model from say a 2019 octavia with the Apple /smart connect?

Possible, but... you'll need to get Component Protection removed and to get someone to re-enable the features - neither of which is possible with a normal diagnostics tool like OBD11, VCP or VCDS.

The experts on here are @SashaGrace and @pab567

Appreciate that.  Would a professional audio guy know what to do? Would he find it straight forward 🤔. I certainly wouldn’t do it 🙈

Unless they are experts in Skoda MIB radios then no.

As above needs CP removal and FeC reactivation, contact Pawel (Pab567) and he’ll sort you right out :)
