Mooo!

Featured Replies

Who knows what an "anti-moo" kit is?

It got fitted to my rear brakes at my 10K service. Apparently it damps down vibrations in the rear brake cables(?) to minimise grinding, mooing, groaning noises from the rear brakes getting into the passenger compartment

It seems to work. The brakes still make some noises but they seem much reduced.

Is it fit as standard to the rear brakes when they changed or is it an option?

I don't know the answer to that one. I kind of mentioned it when they politely asked "anything else you have a problem with?" at 'check-in'. I mentioned groaning rear brakes and a sticky RS demist switch.

Apparently the problem can affect Polos too. So this kit was developed to counteract it.

I don't know what circumstances they'd fit it other than my own, unfortunately.

Did they fit it FOC?

most of the vag group suffer with this noise!

Iv'e fitted a fare few of these kits to octavia vrs's, it basically fits in place of the original bracket that supports the hand brake cables on each caliper and bolted to the bottom of it is a round buffer!

I got the part number from seat cupra net as my cupra r suffered with the same noise this was done under warranty, but when i mentioned this to skoda they said they did not recognise this as a fix, but they would supply this kit for approx

Just had my 10k service and had the rear brake kit fitted under warranty, when I booked it in i mentioned the brakes didn't feel reasuring and the service guy said " I'll order a rear kit, that will improve it" Drove home after the service and hit the anchor's as normal, near pinned my nose to the 'screen!

Mine was warranty work... Didn't get charged extra for it.

i had mine in for a post pothole inspection (being charged to the council) and mentioned the brakes, they said they will modify them at the first service
