Any idea where I could get an adaptor to do that. I have a silicone hose on my air intake and it connects to the factory 90 degree elbow but it looks restrictive and has a resonator attached  I'd like one like you can get for the 2.0 or 1.0. At the turbo side it's a flat face the the elbow is screwed to so I need an adaptor for a hose to fit to

Ah I thought you meant the intake pipe that goes over the engine which you have already changed! Apologies.

Found one, not sure why it didn't come up in my search before.

MST do one, it works with a standard or aftermarket air intake. It's out of stock but there is a German company offering it for sale on eBay.

Part no is VW-MK708 for anyone interested

Interesting, I've never seen this part on MST before so I assume its a new addition to the store which would also explain why no one has been unable to find them until now.

I know, this was meant to be a cheap run-around/commuter car.

I'm really enjoying myself though, it'll be perfect soon. Then I'll need a project car

I want one now too ahaha, currently in the process of making the heat shield for the cone filter. Maybe a 90° welded to a flange would work.

You got a forge one?

Nah its a RamAir one, it sits like the MST one so its taking it a lot of heat from the engine.

Nice to see some CAD (Cardboard aided design) in use.  I'd recommend having the custom heat shield mount onto all three airbox mounting points to stop it from wobbling about, the mst intake has an arm that reaches out to the mounting point on the right. of the intake manifold.

ahaha, yea I'm going to rob the rubber thingys from the old airbox, so it sits nice.
