Approved Performance Parts/Companies

Featured Replies

Are there any tuning companies that are affiliated with Skoda (or VAG as a whole) that provide performance parts that are approved?

Ford are affiliated with Mountune and many dealerships stock and fit parts with some not affecting the manufacturer warranty.

I also recall looking at a Renault Clio R.S. that could be specced with an Akrapovič exhaust system and, correct me if I’m wrong, have read somewhere about Skoda dealerships offering to fit lowering springs on certain vRS models a few Mk’s back.

No approved tuning parts unfortunately. You may be remembering Eibach springs, which were a dealer fit option for the Mk2 IIRC.

Eibach and H&R do a lot of VAG suspension parts, and there are brands like Forge and Revo for hardware and software.

Mountune have launched a VAG tuning brand, although they are not officially approved like their Ford parts:

There is also Racingline, formerly known as Volkswagen Racing/VWR

As above there is nothing approved for the Mk3 for general use. That was the Mk2

There was (and AFAIK still is) an approved Eibach kit for emergency service vehicles to raise the ride height and stiffen the suspension. However that does not translate to any other Eibach product on any other car

I enquired about Cupra power upgrades and they informed me that they were only allowed (by SEAT) to do them prior to delivery!

It doesn’t look like their warranty is valid in the UK.

Looked for a map for my vehicle and on one page it says suitable for vehicles after 2016 so I followed the link which then said it wasn’t suitable for vehicles after 2016 🤷🏼‍♂️🤔 I’m guessing some bad translation is going on.

ABT appear to be the closest thing to it though.
