2.0 TSI Sportline review

Featured Replies

To start with i've had the sportline 12 month now and covered 6.500 miles in it i'm very happy with the Karoq sportline it a good all-rounder its good at all things i've asked it to do :)

Good Points

Looks great, For a sporty SUV

Drive train, 2.0 TSI is very good the DSG is great works very well had no problems at all the 4X4 well it one of the thing that in the back ground helping you out if need

Roomy, swallowed 4 people and luggage for a weeks hol in scotland doing the NC500

Comfy, the seats are one of the best i've ever sat in on long trips

LED headlight, are about the best i've had on a car to date

Pan sunroof, lets so much light into the car with a black interior

Virtual cockpit, love it should be standard on all Karoq sportlines

Bad Points

Econorny, was never going to be good but long runs can get 40MPG but its hard work short runs mid 20 MPG to low 30MPG most of the time

Wiper, dreadful squeeling things replace with bosch aerotwin as soon as you get the car

The fake exhaust trims, why skoda why???

Power, 190 BHP is good but would of like a little more coming from a octy vRS with 300BHP  but can add more

Verdict

The Karoq sportline is a very good all rounder you get a lot of standard kit and it will do all of what you want it to do as a SUV i'm very pleased with my sportline it's one of the best Skoda i've owned

looking forward to mine in the next couple of weeks albeit its a 1.5tsi and im coming from a 300hp Cupra

Only 6500 miles in a year!

Nice car and a good choice of mods.

Looking forward to mine being built next week - fingers crossed! I can live with the lower fuel consumption as my annual mileage is only around 9,000 in a normal year now, and I probably won't be making any more long journeys through France with its high petrol prices. But as I'm trading up from a 1.4TSI Golf, I might be less likely to be using all the power available in the 2.0TSI. Because of that, I was wondering about using the Eco mode  as my default. I know others in the Golf forums seem very doubtful about it actually reducing your fuel consumption, but have you tried at at all?

I used Eco on my Octavia VRS a few times. All I could tell is that it made the throttle response terrible. There is a massive delay. I just use normal on the VRS now.

If I owned a 190bhp Karoq with the 7speed DSG I would be averaging over 40mpg because after starting my Superb the second thing I do is select Eco mode and take full advantage of the lift and coast. If the lag bothers you get a remap to around 250bhp and 450nm of torque. Can't say I've noticed much lag in Eco because my Superb does 0-60mph in 4.2 seconds and 0-100mph in 10.5 seconds. Over 9,000 miles it has averaged 39.90mpg not bad for a 1,660kg 4WD auto.

Eco mode is ok but living in the country side it's up and down hill a lot so can't really take advantage of the lift and coast
