Hello! My name is Arun. I live in London and just picked up a mk1 Octavia VRS. It's done 163,800 miles, smells like oil and cigarettes, had the floor mats of a Honda Civic, a few dents on the roof, an oil cooler, red top coil packs, and some intake and exhaust. Also the front bumper doesn't sit right. It's perfect!

 

Plans are to use it for road trips, driving around the UK for work, and the occasional track day. Look forward to meeting you all!

For the price, it made for a great project - opportunity to get my hands dirty after a 1+ year hiatus from my track car in storage back in Washington. I only use the car 2-3 days a week for work (I am a garage business consultant, so the car I pull up in needs to be a good conversation starter), and love getting on the track when I can.

 

Also, I'm an American expat, so my criteria for cars is "must be non-USDM" and a Skoda fits the bill.
