Howdy

Featured Replies

After 10 years of happily driving my reliable Honda Accord Euro 2003 2.4L manual, I've finally returned to a 2.0L Turbo but this time with a Skoda Octavia RS 2014 DSG rather than a Subaru WRX.

Really, really like my Octavia. Had it for 18 months now and it puts a smile on my dial every time I hop in. So much better than the new model Kia's and Hyundai's I was test driving for the same price, and so much more refined than the WRX I  had (2000 manual).

Looking forward to upgrading to a newer Octavia as soon as my wife lets me! :-)

Welcome.

I think you'll enjoy the bootspace and fuel saving.

Way back when ... like 18+years ago. We used to have a drive out over some moors, some good roads. Us in our octavias 1.8t 150 4x4's remapped to 180ish... Anyhow we used to go out with various subaru's and lancers... given we were not 'on a closed rallye stage' we kept up... until the long straight bits.

This was because our turbos, being small, kicked in before the big turbos, so we were already 'on it' while they were kind of waiting... and of course being moorland roads, they were never straight for long.

I'm totally not suggesting anything else, other than, in real life, within real limits :D You're having fun :) Maybe not quite as much as you used to have in the wrx on a damp morning, but fun none the less fun, so welcome.

MKIII I think from 2014, so here's a great place to start
