Anti roll bar upgrade

Featured Replies

So general concensus, is 23mm rear arb is a good upgrade on an elegance, then see how the front is after that see if you want to upgrade that?

It is a great modification to do.

And the adjustable Neuspeed item is very good.

I have the 28mm version and it is well worth the money.

I'll have a search later to see if I can find the thread where lots of people told me not to do just the rear on an Elegance because of the difference in stiffness

Indeed, that is why my friend fitted both to his diesel L&K

Mine is a derv too, so basically since it's a derv elegance I should fit front and rear?

Out of interest you say the rear is inside the bar (torsion bar I assume) so will the new one just bolt elsewhere leaving the existing arb in place?

Yep, it does. The Eibach mounts on the outside at the rear

Roblatus, how do you like the spring and damper upgrade to vRS parts?

Were they straight forward to fit, or were other parts required,

and how much lower does it sit - does it remove the 'tail high' look of the Elegance?

Cheers,

Stuart.

Edit: the 'tail high' look maybe only applies to estates.

Don't suppose you know how much the eibach arb kit costs do you?

Have a couple of places around here but I know they are not exactly cheap.

Also I was looking the Eibach kit up with two pieces one for front and rear and it says with eibach suspension kit only, Does anyone know if this is true or if it will bolt ok to standard suspension.

It is a very worthwhile mod imho. Especially when you can get a full set of springs and dampers for around the

So it looks like a 25mm rear ARB would be a good place to start????

A 25mm front and rear kit seemed to be my take on it, but as not sure if this bolts onto std suspension as the kit for the octy from eibach says with their suspension only.

do i need one for a vRS then seeing as i have vRS springs and dampers??

Not sure Rob. The VRS ARB takes a different route through ths chassis and mounts sifferently to the suspension. You've sorted one of these things but I dont know about the other.

Get yourself signed up with freedom and "ask-a-tech" ;)

Where are you located if you werent too far away then i would be willing to give you a hand if you need it.

Thanks for the offer Rob, but being near Edinburgh I'm a fair way from you!

As for a special tool for the top of the rear dampers, it looks like they simply bolt on to the body?

Can anyone confirm either way if the eibach arbs bold to standard suspension of if they need the eibach damper kits as the site seems to imply. Ta
