Does anyone know if any Yeti offered Adaptive Cruise Control?

No they did not.

Thanks Urrell, I'll not look then!

Our Yeti has a basic level of Cruise Control, but the Adaptive version on our L&K Octavia is just brilliant, in fact I was going to kook for a posher Yeti, if Adaptive had been available. I guess your info will save me lots of time and money!

Thanks again,

Robin.

Adaptive CC really is good isn't it, we had it on the wifes Tiguan. Was great when towing out caravan, made the journey really easy.

Dale, I 'll have to wait 'til it's time to consider one of these new fangled "K" cars, unless some clever "politician" decides to ban I.C. engines next week!

..what will happen to all the caravans when the IC engine is no longer an option?....

The weight of the car is a key factor, but even if they do stop making IC cars in 2030, they will still be on the road for many years after, unless forced off the road. If that ban ends up being delayed then that keeps IC cars on the road even longer. They could even rise in value due to demand by those who need them, who knows? Twenty or so years is a long time to see what will happen.

20 years? 2030 is just over 9 years away!

Yes, but IC cars will still be around for a good many years after 2030, hence why I suggested 20 years. Theres always the chance that 2020 will get put back few years if the UK doesn't have everything in place for everyone to charge their EV cars etc.

A power station take a lot longer to build and bring on line than the current crystal ball gazing of 2030 ... still no plans as to where the power infrastructure is going to materialise from to supply the electricity that is needed.

TBH it will get dressed up in all sorts of spin, but wait for the delays .... I am sure they will be inevitable.

I can't see the charging infrastructure being available by 2030, and I reckon the government can't either. They have probably given this date to jump start manufacturers into boosting development of electric cars, and changing the mindset of motorists for them to get behind the idea, whilst knowing that the target date can't be met.

You have a touching faith in the thought process and decision making analysis of governments! I doubt very much if any real common sense thinking has been applied to this at all - where is the power coming from, how are drivers without off street parking to charge their vehicles, how will the throughput of cars through charging stations on motorways etc. be ramped up to charge the same number of cars per minute as are filled with diesel/petrol per minute (otherwise queues will extend miles on the motorways), how will every village get fast charging points or how will power distribution be beefed up to provide every dwelling with a charging point. As far as I can see none of this has been resolved. Just bland statements that .... we will be prepared by the changeover date ---- dream on!

Well thats precisely what I meant when I said I can't see the charging infrastructure being available.
