Hello.

I got the engine light lit, along with the curly one. I check the error code and it says P0236. After some googling it seems it's the MAP sensor that is bad, so i have ordered a new one ready to replace the bad one.

But where is it located? The MAF sensor was pretty easy, Up to the right, but i cannot find something that looks like the MAP sensor. I have a 2008 Fabia 1.4 TDI.

 

Map sensor is located. Number 16 on diagram. Depending on which set up you have. Diagram 1 is 1.4 and the diagram 2 is 1.4/1.9

although I have a 1.6 tdi and the MAP is located somewhere else, the sleve that goes over the wires near the connector has rubbed against the wires and cut one of them eventually. I bought a MAP sensor for nothing. Worth checking wires first.

Thank you, i will check this out. How did you fix it?

Wonderful! I found it now. Where can i find blueprints like these? 

i unplugged the connector, popped the pins from the connector out with a very thin small flathead screwdriver (there is a connector tool you can buy), and soldered the pin back, then reverse install.
