Fuel cap not latching correctly.

Featured Replies

Hi guys if anyone can help with this issue it would be great, My fuel filler cap doesn't seem to be latching to the small latch. I have gone into the boot and made sure the cable and spring are oriented and plugged in correctly as per the other guides out there. However the plastic latch doesn't seem to stick out enough to actually hold the fuel door. Any ideas?

this happened to me as well; the outer cable had pushed out of the holder---wrapped it in duct tape to secure it tightly into the part that looks like a black rubber grommet in your picture

You mean the cable that goes into the grommet had come loose? I have took that cable out completely and seated the springs and reattached but the plastic inside the fuel cap doesn't stick out enough to latch onto the door as shown in the first photo.
