Coding Clues?

Featured Replies

Just being finnicky but is there a key to the batch of coding letters in the handbook, giving you info on how the car is equipped, DCC etc. ?

I have found the colour code for the paint but the rest are a mystery.

They are called PR-codes.

The sticker in the handbook (and the boot) only has a small subset of the full list. There are plenty of online decoders, for instance this: http://prsearch.planetvag.com/

A friendly dealer might give you a full PR-code list if you give them a VIN/number plate.

Plenty to research there!! Thanks, that's what I was looking for.

If you pay about 7 euro, you can log in to https://erwin.skoda-auto.cz and download the specific info sheet for your car (via VIN). It will list all the PR codes.

There's also heaps of useful and interesting stuff on Erwin, including workshop manuals.

You get 60 mins for 7 euro. You can download a lot of stuff in 60 mins.....

Thanks for that Haystack1!  I have happy memories of Melbourne!!

+1 for @Haystack1

I did the same - paid for an hour use of eRwin and got the full vehicle specification list (which the others don't give u) and downloaded a whole heap of workshop manuals for use when needed.

+1 here as well. I got the build sheet for my car and a heap of service manuals too. It's a great service!
