Ross comes up trumps again.

The thermostat is a classic to go on the 1.3 engine... the thing just never warms up if its stuck open. :thumbdwn:

aye he does indeed :D

I am hoping a oil change etc will also help my mpg a little more :D

Was going M5 at 70-85mph to bristol and back to get that mpg, which considering I was getting 33mpg on the last run, is hell of an improvement :D

As well as the mpg improvement I have noticed the car is more responsive and seems to accelerate abit better now.... still slow as hell.... but better :D Will be able to tollerate it until Dec 2007 when I have a funds to get a Fab 1.9TDi 100 or the VRS :D Depending if I can let myself pay the extra £200 for the insuarance for a IG9 instead of the IG4-5 on the Fab TDi 100 :D

I am tight after all....... rofl :D
