Hi folks! I drive a 2018 Superb Sportsline and have an acoustic ping that sounds around 10-15 secs after starting journey. Things I have tried include the exceeding speed warning, the dash cam, traffic reports and virtually everything else. I'm not a crank and I'm sure it is a useful 'ping' but can't fathom what it is. Any ideas?

Funny I'm hearing this too lately soon after I set off but no dash message comes up so I have not bothered more, interesting... 

Does the car have KESSY and do you maybe go out of the car to close a garage door or similar that triggers the "Key not found" alarm initially?  (I know I do when I'm alone in the car).

Thinking now the ping might be the acoustic confirmation of key found again (if there's such a thing...)

Think you might be right, hence the "lately" thing I mentioned. We're having 4 degrees here early in the morning or late in the evening the last couple of weeks.

Thing is, during the beginning of drive there's a few messages overlapping (user welcome message, Kessy not found etc) that could prevent the big message of "Temperature warning" showing up in the center, but the snow-flake should be up there somewhere, will confirm it later today 

I had something similar lately. Seems like the car pings if I drive away with the internal rear light on. Sometimes I had it on for the rear passenger when it was dark. Its never pinged when the light is off.

Unfastened seat belts give me a ping, but always with a dash light.

I have Speed Cameras set up in POI for Columbus, and that has the same acoustic ping. No other warnings show other than the Nav screen. It might be something similar.

Can I restart this one please?

 

I've had my 280 estate L&K for just over a week so I'm driving it a bit harder than I did my 190 diesel! Every time I take a corner at above about 40mph, there is a ping. Nothing visual appears on the dash. I do wonder if my wife has had some gizmo installed to tell me to slow down! Does anyone have any suggestions?

I don't know if it applies to the Superb, but my primera had a low screen wash sensor that went off when cornering enthusiastically
