Just a quick one, can a fabia vrs steering wheel be retrofitted to a 1.2 fabia and have working paddles, ive just gone through 41 pages looking for an answer to no avail.

No, don't have a fabia just seen one I quite like look of and wondered if they could be retrofitted, a bit ago I was thinking about a vrs but after a advice on here ive decided i'm not brave enough 

 

Paddles are awful, complex gearbox nonsense is HIDEOUSLY unreliable, it's not a Fezza, it's a Fabia. Stick with a stick.

DQ200 DSG's on 1.2 TSI's were included as part of the Service Campaign from 2014 on cars from 2010-2012 '34F7' & then in 2017 the Service Campaign '34H5' was on some from 2013-2015, 

so check if carried out or due on the car you are looking at.

Can't do stick unfortunately, I no longer have the correct number of legs to operate a clutch 😀

  There is still a gear shifter there.  I only have one leg as well, the left one.   

I happen to never use the paddles on anything with a DSG that i drive.

I would use d most of the time but on the occasion that I wanted to have control of my gears I would want paddles, doesnt the shifter work the wrong way round on these (forwards for up)

They work the way i like as i only use it across to manual to decelerate and then knock it back to D for upshifts.

Also i move them back to 'S' to slow on Ice or Snow.

It depends what you like so have you driven any?

Not for a while used to work at bmw and drove loads of smg equipped cars (back for up, forward for down) and I preferred to use the shifter over paddles on them, did a palmer sport day where a few were sequential. I suppose I would get used to it but it may take a while
