Hello, I'm Simon, and the proud owner of a SKoda Octavia 1.5 TSI Technology 5dr Petrol Hatchback, which I picked up from the dealership on my birthday, a few days ago.

Welcome!  I see you have already posted a good 'signature' so everyone knows what car you have.  Are you a new driver or new to Skoda?  I had a Fabia and then a Yeti.  I think Skoda have very talented designers.  I used a lot of taxis to/from the airport and Skodas were always better than Mercedes!

Thank you, Farty - should be my nom de plume,    Yes, I am new to Skoda, definitely not a new driver.    My previous car died at the start of the second lockdown and was not worth the cost to repair.

I'd heard a lot about Skoda and after doing quite a bit of research decided a Skoda was for me. I'm loving it.
