Removing wing mirror?

Featured Replies

I must have spent a good half an hour looking at trying to work out how to remove the upper painted cover, assuming it can come off! and still no joy.

I thought i'd try and replace the wing mirror that was broken and to help me next time when i need to put a newly painted cover back on.

Ive removed the two small screws from underneath and was assuming that the upper painted section pulled off the bottom half, but didnt want to put much force incase i was wrong and ended up breaking it.

Can anyone help?

Its all going wrong this week:rolleyes:

Just leave it down a dodgy sidestreet, some kid will knock the mirror off for you!

i think you need ti flick the glass off, there's another screw behind there too

So the mirror glass just pulls off?

Its difficult to get behind it to pull off, plus half of it is broken so its quite flexible- dont really want to be putting too much pressure on the glass.

just prise it off, the mirror (if heated) shouldnt fall off because its linked to the wires ( i know this because a van knocked my wing mirror and the glass bit poped out and was dangaling)
