Skoda octavia 111

Featured Replies

Ok I'm after some advice I've been having loads of problems with the mib1 stereo. So took it to a skoda dealer and he's said  the control unit in the glove box is faulty so what  are my options to  replace it  . The cost of a control box inc fitting is nearly £1000  at Skoda

Do you know what model you have?

@pab567 should be able to help out for much less than £1000. If an Amundsen then I may have one in the garage you can have for a small sum. Will need work by pab to get it up to speed with your car.

I think is a Amundsen Mib1 he said the part no is 5E0919605DBI0 but he did say even if I got the same unit it may not work with the immobiliser if he coded it

If you get the same part number then an official skoda dealership should have no problem coding it in.

Looks like model number of MIB1 Amundsen screen

Yes he said he could replace it but do i spend £1000 to keep the car original or is there a better solution for £1000

He did say he would split the cost into 6 monthly payments interest free . but is it worth spending £1000 or is there a better option

For less than half of it you can have Amundsen MIB2 with 6.5" screen, with SmartLink activated
