Climate Control / Air Con issues

Featured Replies

Wondering if anyone is able to help. Whenever I turn the climate control above 2 notches of power it starts to make like a clicking/rattling noise as if the motor is struggling to spin. Then when the car warms up I can use it pretty normally, but then whenever I press the option to circulate the air its like a horrible motor spinning, which is frustrating and seems like poor quality, which surely it can not be, because my 09 fiesta didn't do anything like that! Sometimes the sound is like a bag blowing in the wind.

It also happens whenever I engage reverse and have the heating or air con on, I have only just bought the car 3 months ago from Skoda & ideally wanted to avoid going back there as the aftersales service I had was pretty poor. I do have 12 months warranty and was only serviced the day I picked it up so I assume it can't be anything to do with filters. I am just wondering whether I have a damaged motor or something...

Anyone able to provide any assistance or had the same issue?

I think that all you can do while under warranty, is to remove the pollen filter and see if anything falls out - after that if you find nothing you really will need to suffer the inconvenience, time wasting and annoyance associated with dealing a with any main dealership.

The thing which I have found is that when I engage in reverse my 'park pilot' engages which I assume is taking some of the voltage etc and not allowing it to go to the heater maybe, which could be causing it, but surely that would be a fault. I will check the pollen filter and update this thread
