Dash Cam + Power Magic Ultra Battery Pack install (parking mode)

Featured Replies

I have purchased a dash-cam (Viofo A129 duo) and was looking to pair it with the BlackVue Power Magic Ultra Battery Pack (B-124X).

I was wanting to utilize the parking mode feature without draining the cars battery, hence the battery power pack.

Does anyone have a dash cam installed (with/without battery pack) and able to share their setup/install instructions?

Thanks

I have a Blackvue 750S dashcam fitted but rather than fit the Blackvue battery pack a couple of years ago, I went with a Cellink Neo which was the same as the Blackvue Power Magic B124 battery but cheaper.  Don't know if Cellink do an equivalent of what seems to be the newer Blackvue B124X.  Ironically, I found the Blackvue fitting instructions much easier to follow.  These are at this link.  https://blackvue.com/download/power-magic-ultra-battery-b-124-manual-en-ru-de-id-vi/

I wired my battery to the fusebox.  If I remember rightly, I wired it to the rear wiper fuse (Octavia 2018).  Hope this is of help.

I wired the nextbase 422 via a 2 way switch so I could run it normal when ignition on ot switch to always on for dodgy oaces like sainsburys car park where they do hit and run.

With permanent power  & parking mode the nextbwse occasionally froze and needed a reset,  thus way it resets when the power is off.
