Bent track rod arm!!

Featured Replies

I've just been to the garage to have a couple of new tyres fitted. I asked the guys to check the tracking - they found the right arm slightly bent. It was adjusted as best they could. I've been told I should take it to Skoda to be replaced. They thought It might be expensive!? My question is - will the whole rack need replacing? any idea on

If you mean the arm connected to the steering rack and ball joint then it is available seperately at a cost of around £50 +VAT That includes a new ball joint.

Had something similar on mine, except it was "worn". Cost to replace was around 75 quid plus labour, plus tracking (oh and a new front tyre!)....

That doesn

you got a good price for the F1's... mine cost me £200 fitted :(

To replace the arm nothing needs to be dropped or removed other than the arm itself.

Yep mine was done in about 30 minutes but that may have been because they were picking up the tab for labour! It may also have been because the mechanic lined the wheel up by eye rather than tracking it properly
