Kessy does not work on my Kamiq, bought in Portugal in 2020.

 

Is it a chargeable extra?

It is an option in the UK. The best way to see if you've got it is to look on the driver's external door handle for a horizontal groove. This is where you'd put your finger to lock the car. 

Thanks we do not have the groove,  so I suppose it is not available. 

 

Unfortunate, as my last car, which was a Renault Captur had it.

SOme cars have the button to start the engine but not the keyless entry, my SE L is like that.  I wish it had Keyless entry though.  Having to take the key out to open the door then put it away is a pest,  I keep trying to put the key into the start button

I just press the open button on key in my pocket and leave it there get in press start button my ke never comes out of my pocket

I imagine that skoda1982 is male and so would normally carry the car keys in a trouser pocket, so that would work for you.

As a female the normal place for my keys is my handbag as most outfits do not have pockets for keys.

So keyless entry would be very useful. 

Shame that my Kamiq does not have it.

However that and the fact that the sat nav does no take lat/long coordinates are my only complaints about an otherwise fabulous car.

Open handbag press buttons 

I woulntwant kessy ... too many thefts of keyless cars where relay devices are used to extend key / car communication distance.
