Is the control unit still responding via diagnostics? If not, buy an OEM part.

  • It depends what system your wife's car has. Indirect systems don't have physical pressure sensors, instead they rely on rotational differences between the wheels (via the ABS sensors) so would just ne

  • We can now, thank feck

  • I'll post up the exact VCDS/OBDEleven coding steps shortly. I'll also post up the link that allows u to create the RDX parameter file, to b loaded via VCP/ODIS.

Check your sensors. If you can connect normaly to 55 module, your sensors died. Aswell had problems with faulty module and sensors from ali since get one which works

I made them check by the tire guy with the instrument that activates them and he showed me they’re active; making a diagnosis with Odis the result was “system turned off” so now I have to understand how to turning it on again!

Not properly coded if doesn't work after mib change

The MIB has nothing to do with the functionality. Even with the MIB removed, it still works perfectly fine for me.

That’s the point: until last week I was able to see the pressure values as on the Amundsen, then on rear wheels pressure was lower, after restoring 2/3 days later I got the message I posted above. Do I have to code again from beginning or any other idea/proposal?

Any other present error codes in 5F or 65 module?

In the 65 says “control unit switched off” (or something like that)

the TPMS retrofit touches a number of modules, including the MIB (5F module).

changes r made to the following modules:-

  • Gateway (19)

  • Instruments (17)

  • ABS (03)

  • Information Electrics (5F)

so perhaps something got reset or messed up when the OP changed the MIB?

It is indeed correct that the 5F unit must be modified for the retrofitting of a direct tire pressure monitoring system; however, this only involves a "BAP" (Operating and Display Protocol). Many functions run via the MIB, but they continue to operate normally even if the MIB is removed.

Naturally, traffic sign recognition does not function correctly in "fusion" mode, as the system incorporates data from the navigation map for this feature.

Point is before swapping the MIB my friend made with ODIS a backup of both of 5F presets and adaptations but maybe something went lost… @JR RS I don’t remember : was in Your guide a list of all the codings to do in all the control units You said with ODIS and/or OBD11?

the code changes n adaptations can b done using VCDS or OBDeleven.
the parameter file (dataset) for the TPMS module (65) need to b done via ODIS or VCP.
