Outside tenperature sensor

Featured Replies

Hey guys I need a bit of help. Display is showing outside temperature of 34°C, but outside is around 0, changed my the sensor in the bumper it still shows the same temp. When I disconnect the sensor and start the car temperature starts goimd dowm to 19.5 and stops there.

Everything was normal and few weeks back I went to mountains where is a lot of snow, when I headed back home heating was not working good, and it was showing outside temo of 14°, but it was - 5. Few days after that it went back to normal than went again to snowy area and same thing, few day after again normal and one more time snow it went up to 34 and ita still shiwing 34 week later. Anyone has any solution?

It sounds like water is getting into the wiring somewhere.

Check the sensor plug for any Verdigris shorting the pins.

If not, check back further along the cable for damage & that water isn't being trapped in the outer covering somewhere.

It's quite important to get this sorted, as the sensor's value is used by many different modules in the car.
