Steering wheel makes clicking noises after lowering

Featured Replies

Hey , i have recently installed eibach lowering springs and started hearing clicking noise when turning (stationary and on parking speeds) has anyone else experienced this problem/ has a solution?

Fitted these onto my Mk3 myself. Cleaned the mounts well. Slight lithium grease of the cups and bump stop. Spring end right up to stop in the cups. No issues at all. … Sounds like poor fitting personally.

I had a feeling it was a bad install.. the guy at the shop gave me a couple of aluminium rings that came with the springs and told me it was unnecessary.. if they are where in the assembly do they go? (I think i will try to fix it myself..)

They go in the bin ;-) no need on ours. You get four, but do not try and fit them on the Fabia. Just check the spring is wound right round to the stop tab on the cups. Bit of a clean and grease before re fitting the top and bottom cup is best.
