Head Unit Swap on Octavia mk2

Featured Replies

Hi I've a 2007 Octavia 2.0TDI auto Laurin and Klement all standard. It's a nice car to live with but I've been considering replacing the head unit as I'd like to have the hands free phone facility. Could anyone please advise if any of the head units from other Skodas would be a simple plug and play fit? If not, I'd be grateful for recommendations for any other head units people have experience with that have worked successfully for them. Many thanks in advance.

You can basically fit any of the MK2 stereos (including the Facelift).

The Amundsen is a good unit if you want Bluetooth built in as some of these (not all so you need to check which you buy) have an integrated Bluetooth module.

The Bolero and Columbus require an external module.

Thanks Phil. I've seen a Asure head unit on here for sale and wondered if that would fit and be any good

Hi

I have a 2006 Octavia 1.6fsi classic.

I want to change the head unit to something more modern plus something that will connect to my iPhone.

I've been looking at headunit from Halfords etc but wanted to know if these are compatible with my car or will I have problems due to the age.

Any help would be appreciated.
