Side view mirror control problem

Hi!

Just bought a 2016 Octavia 2 weeks ago, at 37000km, so far no problems until today. Apparently for no reason at all, the side view mirror control knob has gone bad.

When the knob is in RH position, it controls the RH mirror, but when it's in the LH position it moves both the LH and RH mirror. 

Please, has anyone encountered this or has any ideas where to start? 

Turn off mirrors synchronous adjustment in the car- mirrors and wipers menu.
