Skoda Fabia 1.4 mpi Rough Idle, Seems like it wants to stall.

coil packs cylinders 3&4

This is impossible since the 1.4 mpi 8 valve has a single coil pack unit for all four cylinders. If yours has 4 coil packs it can't be a 1.4 mpi 8 valve.

  • Try swapping injectors round and see if the misfire follows that injector.

  • I always recommend a genuine VAG sensor as some of the pattern ones are crap. Febi should be OK though.

Also, MinkyMike hasn't been online here since December 2021.

Sorry TMB I was trying to ask if minkymike solved his problem in the end I know it was a long time ago but as I couldn’t find any recent posts on this thought I would ask

Pretty sure mine is 16 valve single coil packs injection model.

Thanks if anyone had similar issue

No problem.

Hi ,

I was trying to find out if Minkymike Mike solved his similar issues and how as he appeared to have same problems.

It has been to garage I have not done spark plugs myself but assume mechanic would have checked when changing coil packs.

Same as water problems he has pressure tested system and cannot find a leak.

just hoping it not head gasket problems

I get that, but this thread is two and a half years old so the OP won't reply.

Never assume anything with mechanics, most of them don't have the brains they were born with.

The 1.4 16V BBZ engine, which yours is, does not blow head gaskets so you needn't worry about that.
