Had anyone heard about the Fabia VRS being fitted with differing size turbos as standard? Someone told me that they are fitted with a KKK turbo, who had copied their design from Garrett, another manufacturer. But, Garrett successfully sued KKK, as a consequence KKK had to change their design, so more recent fabias are fitted with a slightly smaller turbo.

get under your car. You should be able to read the label on the controller from underneath.

It (used to be?) the KKK one on the vRS, it may have changed but I'd be surprised. The KKK turbo is slightly smaller but it works fine for it's purpose.

My hybrid is a Garret based device though

Well my fabia is a 55plate and has a KKK.

I think it has always been the KKK, but there are two slightly different designs, one based on a Garrett, which is slightly bigger, and a later one, which is slightly smaller.

Perhaps the earlier models have Garrett ones then? Either way I've now got the KKK as a spare

I'm pretty sure all Fabia vRS's come with a KKK turbo. Garret ones are for the Octavia platform hence the outlet being in a different position.
