Ive read a couple of things about people putting 1.8t engines in Felicias.... does anyone know what the donor vehicle could be, and how much work is envolved? Obviously, i know fitting a new engine is a big job, but would stuff like the gear box and clutch be OK, and would the engine go straight in, or would some serious cutting be required?

golf, a3, octavia, a4, tt, superb, leon and probably a couple more that i have forgotton(i have left out the inline engined vehicles on purpose ) and it would involve massive amount of work due to the fact that the engine bay would need pretty much rebuilding to fit the engine.

i wouldn't be surprised if it cost 10k to buy an engine and get it fitted by a professional

Doh!!! are there any other options that would fit witout rebuilding the engine bay?

the engine bay needs extensive work due to different mounting points for nearly everything and some gearboxes won't fit in without modification to the engine bay.
