Here I go again

Featured Replies

Booked my 05 Furby Vrs in for its 40K service and reported the seat cloth rubbing up yet again - on my 3rd cover so far since 01/03/2005.

Garage said they would have to look at it before ordering a warranty replacement because it was unusual for this to happen!!!!. Maybe I am doing something wrong - like sitting on it when driving!!!.

Going to report to Skoda CS too. I wonder if they accept the seat cloth is a problem yet.

I love my Skodas this will be my 3rd, but this problem has put me right off, especially when the garage and Skoda pretend it does not happen. Guess it will be a different marque in september.

What do you guys recommend - Grando Punto, focus/fiesta, Civic, Peugot.............

:( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

i recommend a FABIA VRS with ......the leather trim option , no more bobbly seat cloth then

Maybe you should suggest they meet you half way on a leather retrim?

As for another car I would forget peugeot unless you want even more trips to the dealer.

My money would be heading towards Honda

How much is the leather option, as an upgrade to the existing seats? I know you can get them new with leather fitted but what about retro-fitting them?

I'd recommend a Focus ST

:iagree:

cheaper and quicker than an octavia vRS with better handling and from my experience very good build quality :)

oh, forgot to mention the sound of it:drool:

I do too many miles and change my cars too often to go for options - I change every 18 months, by which time I have usually done around 60K.

I have had around 20 cars in my driving lifetime (35 years) - first time I have had trouble with seat material

Maybe you should suggest they meet you half way on a leather retrim?

suggest they go three ways dealer skoda and you.

or 2 ways dealer and skoda.

Well you know I have been looking at the Honda Civic 2.2CDTi jobber :D faster then the VRS and uses just a tad more juice then the VRS. Or go with the half way on a leather re-trim if poss. Personally I would stay with skoda though. I have had probs with my motor but then again it is a Felicia, and VW was still trying to get it upto a good standard. I am going for a Fabia TDi 100bhp next :D

But if you must leave the skoda world I would personally go for a Honda Civic 2.2 CDTi though wide, it is fast as BLEEP if ya know what I mean :D
