Right. Tried to change the rear pads on my 02' TDi L/K earlier and encountered some trouble.

Could anyone please tell me how to retract the rear cylinders so i can get the new pads in?

or could there be another problem with it?

You need a retraction tool that rotates them as it pushes them back - see this post for some links. Halfords often stock them too.

As simple search would have revealed the answer.

be careful not to activate the hand brake lever as this will push the piston back out.oh the fun i had,until i realised what i was doing:O
